NTNU's Campussamling initiative aims to consolidate its academic environments in Trondheim into a unified campus centered around Gløshaugen. This strategic move is designed to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, enhance educational and research facilities, and strengthen ties with surrounding institutions and communities.
NTNU on Campus project
Over the next ten years, NTNU's academic communities in Trondheim will be unified in one urban campus in the area around Gløshaugen.
Statsbygg on The Campus Project
Statsbygg is responsible for the construction of the new campus. Site is in Norwegian.
Integration with Tech City Elgeseter
The expansion plans include developing a new east-west axis at the south of Elgeseter, connecting the existing campus to Elgeseter Street. This development will transform NTNU from to a more accessible part of Elgeseter borough's new city life.

Proximity to Studentersamfundet
The unified campus will be in close proximity to Studentersamfundet, Trondheim's iconic student society building. This nearness is expected to strengthen the bond between NTNU's academic activities and student life, promoting a vibrant campus culture and providing students with easy access to social and extracurricular opportunities.

Collaboration with St. Olavs Hospital
The campus development plan includes the establishment of the Center for Mental Health, which will bring together NTNU's academic disciplines in mental health with St. Olav Hospital's professional environment and treatment options. This co-location is anticipated to enhance professional interaction across sectors, aiming to improve both education and patient care through collaborative efforts.
